This seven-barrel selection is from the vines in the steepest section of their vineyard, where the ground is most eroded and the copper-colored sandstone surfaces. It’s a distillate expression of the vineyard’s terroir, highlighting its density in a mineral core, where the geology is most apparent and has a more dramatic impact on the vines.
Forty four percent whole cluster, native fermentations, and aged eighteen monthns in French oak. Kept unfiltered ahead of bottling.
