Yes, price of Dellchen has gone up since it received very high ratings for its 2018 vintage. In fact, we are beginning to see price increases among the highly demanded Riesling GG from other producers too. e.g. Battenfeld Spanier and Kuhling-Gillot. This wine received 100 points so we pre-sold most of it to Riesling fans as well as some who were curious about the 100-point award by Stuart Pigott of James Suckling!

'Ravishing bouquet of a thousand golden fruits and a staggering interplay of diamond-bright acidity and great succulence. Then, just when you think you've processed all that, along comes a monster wave of minerality, which sweeps you off your feet. But you land on the beach, deliriously happy. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold.' Stuart Pigott 100 pts

'The 2019 Riesling GG Dellchen is enormously fine and elegant on the subtle but fascinatingly complex nose that intertwines stony notes with yellow-fleshed stone fruit aromas. On the palate, this is an intense, highly finessed and elegant Dellchen with incredibly refined juiciness and great balance and purity. The finish is very long and complex but keeps the finesse and purity. Very stimulating and salty—a great Dellchen GG and one of the finest I have had from Cornelius Dönnhoff! Tasted as a sample in Bremen, April 2020.' Wine Advocate 96 pts.

2018 vintage:

'A dense and layered white with minerals, salt, white pepper, chalk, dried lemon and subtle pears. Pumice. Wow. Tiny film of oil. Creamy and insane. What a wine. Magic. One for the cellar. Drink or hold.' 99 pts James Suckling

'From a site of slate and porphyry facing the Nahe river and from Cornelius Dönnhoff's capable hands, this is an expression of stone and sun. A very scented nose of citric ripeness sets the tone. The palate is mild and fresh at the same time, pristine and vivid but beautifully balanced and ripe. Hints of juicy stone fruit shine through on the concentrated, svelte palate but the finish belongs entirely to lasting, refreshing zestiness. Drinking Window 2025 - 2040.' Decanter 95 pts
