An aristocratic wine from a great location/site. From the refreshingly and mineral laden Scharzhofberger Riesling, the “P which stands for Pergentsknopp” is true theatre – a wine that already excites us.
We only receive less then 36 bottles of this wine every vintage. This is a parcel within Scharzhofberger - the most famous Grand Cru Riesling vineyard in Germany.
Off dry Riesling - perfect balance of acid and residual sugar actually! We cannot recommend enough if you are a collector! If you are a white Burgundy lover, you should understand German Riesling. In fact, we don't want to burst your bubble but Riesling is the most noble white variety not Chardonnay. It is the variety that is most able to reflect the climate and terroir where it is grown. It is all about climate and terroir as you have no oak (barrel fermentation or barrel ageing) nor winemaking techniques such malolactic conversion or ageing on lees to disturb or mask the purity.
