Only 2,300 bottles made. Now back to the wine. This wine comes from the first vines (yes, oldest vineyard) planted on top of the ridge in 2001, a 4-acre parcel within the Abbott Claim vineyard facing north. Dense forest of oak, fir and maple on the west blows cool air through the parcel.
Highly rated: Decanter 99 pts, 94 Vinous and 18++ on JR. Plus Alban (the winemaker) says Decanter will release its rating in their May 2024 publication. They were informed that they received a high rating on Abbott Claim Vineyard Pinot 2021 and a very high rating on the Due North 2021!
Drink ideally from 2027 till 2030. Extremely limited!
