Rather restrained on the nose - medium intensity of black plums, hint of sweet spices and herbal (tyme) complexity. After some breathing in the glass (check out our Gabriel Glas), it drinks much better. Medium bodied, medium acidity, plums and fresh blackberries on the palate, good spice and herbal complexity with velvety and supple tannins. Really attractive medium+ finish. This is an excellent wine for its price. Had with braised pork ribs. Can be drunk on its own too. Drink now till 2023.

Now Chateau Reynon is managed by the two sons and the family. Judging by this wine, they are in good stead! Bravo! You must try this wine if you are looking for a Merlot based Bordeaux.
