60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot blend. 14% abv. A warm and ripe vintage (as with most regions of France) as you can tell from the 14% abv. We think most if not ALL normal consumers and people who like New World wines will love this. Ripe black cherries and blackberries yet with lively acidity. Ie. not jammy or big. Rating: Vinous 90 pts and JR 16/20. We agree with JR's notes below re: some sweet and ripe black fruits but in our tasting, we find that the tannins are balanced not dry! We highly recommend casual drinking with friends.
'Deep purple as is the Dubourdieu way in 2020. Real freshness and zest on the nose. Remarkable sweetness of fruit followed by really dry tannins on the end. Salty and savoury.' JR 16/20
