An easy drinking Pinot Noir that is perfect on its own.
Pale ruby in colour. On opening, it was a little shy in terms of fruits but give it 10 minutes or so of breathing in the glass or bottle, you get fresh dark cherries and red currants. Medium - bodied. Good balance and really supply tannins. Simple finish but commendable fruit. In fact, this wine is so good on its own, we finished it rather quickly! :)
For those who are new to German Pinot Noir, Meyer Näkel is one of the top 5 Pinot Noir producers from Germany. Germany is already producing world class Pinot but it is under the radar because they do not have enough to export! Please check this out and we are sure that you will be impressed.
