One of the top German Pinot producers! From the region of Ahr. At 50 degrees latitude North, Ahr is the northern most wine growing region in mainland Europe.
This wine is a typical and traditional Ahr Pinot Noir - aromas of fresh blackberry and red berries as well as ripe cherries. This wine has silky tannins and juicy red fruits on the palate.
Will give Bourgogne rouge made by known Burgundy producers a run for their money!
The estate is now run by two sisters - Meike and Dorte Näkel. They took over from their father Werner Näkel who is a well respected winemaker in Germany.
