This Viognier is made by famous Cote Rotie producer - Rene Rostaing. Rostaing also makes Viognier from Condrieu AOC but this Les Lezardes Viognier is a real insider wine. Much lower in price than Condrieu AOC so it makes a really good value Viognier.
In fact, we find this brighter and not as full bodied as a typical Condrieu which is a good thing! Fruity (stone fruits - ripe peach and apricots) yet freshness. Medium bodied.
Must try if you want to find a gem made from the Viognier grape (an aromatic white variety).
