Kesselstatt is a popular producer of German Riesling. In Singapore, most people know them as the SIA Business Class and First Class wine. Yes, Kesselstatt won blind tasting tenders to supply SIA with their wines a few years ago.
This Spätlese (late harvest) is really pure and elegant because of the cool vintage and it shows the classic expression (minerality and precision) of Scharzhofberger, the most famous Grand Cru Riesling vineyard in Germany. Medium sweet, this would appeal to many consumers who do not like their wines too sweet or dessert like sweet wines.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this. Half bottle (375ml) format is perfect for two or over lunch.
