Pale lemon in colour. Quite restrained on the nose. Fresh lemon-melon combo with a hint of almond or hazel nut and minerality in the form of gun flint. On the palate, you get fresh lemon, slight lemon rind bitterness, lime and green apples. Excellent juicy freshness and acid vibrancy. Clean and simple finish but really enjoyable especially if you drink this in the afternoon.
If you enjoy minerality in wine, love White Burgundy and need a daily drinking wine, this could be a good candidate. If you prefer a fruity and ripe style, please avoid this!
Highly recommend you to have this with charcuterie or snacks. Even sea salt crisp would make the wine better too!
Variety: Chardonnay
Food Pairing: we had it with salami pizza from Da Paolo. Works well too!
