This Pommard Rugiens-Hauts 1er Cru is from the best site/parcel of Rugiens (already one of the top 1er Crus in Pommard). Wines from here are normally quite structured and powerful so it certainly balances out the vintage character. We have only two handful of bottles left. Don't miss out.
Benjamin Leroux was touted by Jancis Robinson MW as the heir to the 'next Henri Jayer'. Jayer was a legendary Burgundy producer. Benjamin was considered a prodigy winemaker when he became the winemaker and General Manager of the famous Pommard producer Comte Armand at the tender age of 26! In 2007, he launched his own wine.
