A really good Pomerol that is reasonably priced!
For those who prefer a fruity and more modern styled Pomerol, this is a good one to consider. Core of dark fruits (black plums, black/blue berries), full bodied with velvety tannins. Excellent concentration. We drank it over two days and it was much better on the second day. The 15% Cabernet Franc in the blend provided good lift and some herbaceous complexity to the intense fruits. Nice touch indeed!
An excellent choice for those New World or Shiraz drinkers who wish to explore Bordeaux.
Can be drunk on its own without food. If with food, we recommend any steak rather than chicken or pork.
