Yes, this is really hard to find because it is in the magnum format. Most of this white Rioja especially by top producers such as CVNE are drunk in Spain or Europe.
We managed to get a few magnum bottles of this 2014 vintage. Other than taste profile that we like....this is grown on calcareous soil (limestone)...our favourite soil for vines because we like the minerality translated into the wines made.
The grapes used to produce Monopole Clasico are harvested from the Villalba de Rioja vineyard, over 5 hectares planted in calcareous soils 15 years ago with an east-facing aspect. The vines are trellis-trained to offer protection from the prevailing winds. At an altitude of over 600 metres.
Grape variety: Viura (as with most Spanish white wines)
