This is a premium single vineyard Grüner Veltliner from Haarlocke in the region of Nussberg (hilly region with weather limestone soil and limestone bedrock). Nussberg is known to be the best wine growing region in Vienna.
Complex aromas and flavours of ripe apple, subtle fresh mango, delicate sandalwood spice, a touch of candied orange zest and herbs. Ripe fruit flavours are elegantly balanced with juicy acidity. Fresh pineapple, lime and salty minerals linger on the finish. Good ageing potential. The wine improves with aeration. It will work very well with Asian cuisine, hard cheeses and pan fried fish (E.g. cod) or grilled turbot.
