One of the most elegant Californian Pinot Noir we have tasted. Fruity (strawberries and cherries)and ripe nose as you would expect from California but the palate is fresh, pure fruited, silky and fine. Almost or if not Burgundian on the palate. Superbly crafted indeed by Paul Lato, a famous Canadian sommelier. His wines are almost entirely sold direct to his customers (on his mailing list) and the finest restaurants in America.
This wine is made from a single vineyard called Zotovich on Santa Rita Hills of Santa Barbara. Really impressive wine. If you are after a fine New World Pinot Noir that will exceed your expectations, please try this. Super limited production of only 300 cases. We can imagine this wine being amazing 10 years down the road even though it is drinking deliciously now!
