Château Petit-Village is a jewel set in the highest part of the magnificent terroir of the Pomerol plateau, on deep gravel and clay soils with a ferrous base in the heart of the appellation. This wine has been aged in 65% new oak. Cepage: 72% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Château Petit-Village 2014 has a very deep ruby colour. This wine offers a complex nose of dark berry fruits and spice notes. The mouthfeel is generous with blackberry and blackcurrant aromas. The tannins are present but they are ripe and smooth. This wine has a lovely long and very fresh finish.
Food Pairing: A nice piece of USDA Prime ribeye for those who like complementary pairing. Otherwise, some grassfed ribeye from Morning Peninsula or Tasmania would be nice.
Variety: Merlot blend
