Single vineyard Silvaner from Franken region (where the best Silvaner in the world are made). We really enjoyed this when we tasted it in Germany at the Weingut/wine estate. The cool 2014 vintage added good freshness and precision to the otherwise medium acid Silvaner variety, making this wine something that Riesling hounds would like.
Second time we tasted was with a group of SIA Air Sommeliers (very accomplished ones). Tasted blind. Most called it Pinot Blanc or Chardonnay. They really enjoyed this wine so much so that one of them bought the wine after the dinner.
Medium bodied, medium + acidity, ripe apples, ripe citrus with great balance of fruit and acidity. Medium + length. Drin know till 2025.
Food pairing: Western styled roast chicken or most grilled fish.
