If you are looking for wines with individuality that reflect BOTH the terroir and vintage, look no further than wines from Zind-Humbrecht. Olivier Humbrecht MW is France's first Master of Wine (MW) and the president of Biodyvin, the viticulture only biodynamic association.
This is a dry Pinot Gris which is easy on its own and also quite versatile with most Asian food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! For those who are new to Zind Humbrecht, they are probably the most famous Alsace producer! This wine is certified Organic and Biodynamic. By the way, Roche Calcaire means limestone soil - our favourite soil! So you bet you will get some minerality!
Most of the grapes for this wine come from the vineyards planted between 1990 and 1992 on the Clos Windsbuhl in Hunawihr. They are producing a very consistent quality, but always remain behind the oldest vines in terms of ultimate quality potential.
